BIOGRAPHY
Eclectic musician, explorer of a various musical genres such as classical music, jazz, world music, rock, underground.
Simone Blasioli begin studying piano and accordion at the age of four under the guidance of his father. At the age of 12 he began studying midi programming and software suitable for music production. At the age of 15 he was admitted to the "L. D’Annunzio "in Pescara where he graduated brilliantly in "Saxophone". At the same time he studied Jazz at the Pescara Music Academy with Gianluca Esposito and at the “Fonderia delle arti” in Rome with Eric Daniel. Subsequently he graduated in "Composition for music applied to images" with the vote of 110/110 Praise and Honorable Mention and immediately afterwards in "Orchestral conducting" at the "A. Casella ”of L'Aquila.
In 2010 he won the Erasmus Scholarship in Composition at the Conservatory of Castellón, Spain. Immediately afterwards he won a second scholarship, (SMP), as Assistant Professor of Composition and Supervisor of the Orchestra at the RIAM in Dublin.
Composer works include the music of the theatrical performances "Benvenuta Estate", "Summer is already elsewhere", "Up south", "The perfect circle" by director F. Puccio; the documentary for ENIT (Italian National Tourism Organization).
In 2018 he directs the original music of the film Il Fantasma dell'opera at the Auditorium del Parco, L’Aquila, commissioned by the Società Aquilana of the "Bonaventura Barattelli" concerts.
In 2019 the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese performs Paraphrase on Dizzy Gillespie's "Manteca" - op 129, original orchestration by Simone Blasioli, directed by himself.
He is the first high saxophone of the Big Band of the Eagle Conservatory; he plays in many formations ranging from duo to sextet. In 2010/11 he was on tour four times in Minsk with the Italian Chansonnier.
The main collaborations include those with Tony Esposito, Furio Di Castri, Emanuele Cisi, Luigi Tessarollo, Massimo Faraò, Fabio Giachino, Maurizio Giammarco, Bepi D’amato, Giampaolo Ascolese, Mauro Battisti, Maurizio Rolli, Gianluca Esposito, Carlo Crivelli, Eric Daniel, Michele Di Toro, Jonathan Williams, Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, Solisti Aquiliani, Orchestra of Royal Irish Academy.
